I used to live in Paces River, and I am so glad I am finally out. The walls and floors are so thin, you can hear everything your neighbors do. They let the trashiest, witchiest people in too. My husband and I lived there for a year, and for the first 6 months, had no problems. Then 3 of our neighbors' leases ran up, and they all left at the same time. Their replacements aparently have had no contact with other humans before moving in. The witch who lived below us complained to the office about how much noise we made. When management told us about the complaints, we were very concerned and tried to be more careful. Then, on a Friday evening around 10:30, my husband and I were playing cards at the dining room table. Someone knocked on the door, and it was the stupid witch's husband asking us to stop stomping around. After explaining to him that we were SITTING DOWN (therefore not stomping) he left.
On top of the trash they let live there, the amenities that they promise are constantly broken. The hot tub that they offered worked for about a week of the year we lived there. Management was rude. People let their children run into stranger's apartments. We had a crazy old lady and her grand-daughter living two floors down from us. Seriously, if you want to live near people who aren't socially challenged, pick somewhere else.

Obviously, if a person is posting anonymously, you have to wonder if their views are correct. I think in every situation, especially with rental properties, the biggest complaint will always be about noise. That comes with the territory.
I have lived here since December 2003. As my previous post stated, I've had my challenges, with the management staff and other areas. However, being PROFESSIONAL and reasonable always wins. Theres a saying, "you get more bees with honey!"
My most recent experience was to have some remodeling done in my apartment. To my surprise, it happened rather quickly. My floors were replaced, the wallpaper was removed and the walls were repainted and I had a range microwave put in. The microwave took the longest, but I stayed on top of it and gave reminders that I was still waiting. It took about 3 months but I finally got it.

You'll find the management picks and chooses whose complaints they will inquire about. I've complained many, many times about excessive parties and drinking, stomping up the wooden steps, garbage left at the door. It seems they would rather keep giving extreme rent inreases to hard working, quite tenants. Lots of units are empty, oh, those where the people who always had "notices" taped to their doors, paying their rent late, and moving out in the middle of the night.
