University Place is a nightmare. Run away from here as fast as you can!
Parking is terrible - there is not enough (and that is with the place only half full!) and it is way away from the buildings. Bringing groceries in is a joke (besides they would get eaten up by the pigs I live with).
Walls are paper thin - almost every single night I was disgusted by hearing somebody having sex.
There is no pool - and the "convenience store" is a joke (just a big empty room).
I have to walk down 3 floors to get to the laundry room, where hopefully somebody hasn't stolen my clothes, again.
Management is just a bunch of redneck hillbillies. I have paid my rent every month but I just found out from another resident that he and several of his friends have only paid about every other month and got away with it. He said they were so incompetent that they just bought his "my parents are sending it" story over and over. It pisses me off that I paid my rent and got such lousy service and he got away with what he did.
I have to share the bathroom with a pig who thinks nothing of leaving crap in the toilet or leaving armpit hairs on my deodorant.
There is no meal plan here and my broke roommates eat anything I leave in the fridge.
Stay on campus or go somewhere else! One of my profs said that Winthrop has a company who is planning on building a new dorm so Juniors will be on campus.
If you are thinking about renting here.... DO NOT DO IT!
