I DON?T recommend this place as home for MANY reasons

1st of all, I TOTALLY agree with EVERYthing that "anonymous" said about this place. Every word they said is so true. One reason is that Mid-America Properties, based in Tennessee, own Spring Creek, Highland Ridge, Howell Commons, Paddock Club, and maybe more in Greenville, pay far below the competitive pay rate in this area, thereby getting less than qualified/concerned employees. Once they work here, they try to leave as soon as a better job is found, since promises made to them are not delivered. The answering service never lives up to their expectations, but who do we blame for this' Everyone knows the "courtesy officer" (who lives in a discount rated apt on sight) has never once been called out in over a year, (most tenants don't even know this person exists, including the answering service!!) even during an alleged kidnapping of a 15 yr old girl by the 18 yr old man who is related to an employee of the complex, although that has no real bearing(') on the incident (employee does not live on property, but the 18 yr old man does). During that night, the police were here for hours, and the manager, who has recently moved on to a bigger & better job in the area, never came out to the property, but talked to the police by phone. Be assured that other less qualified personnel were outside with the police! The manager chose to live at a newer Mid-America property, and many times had other personnel do the work needing to be done here. From what I?ve heard, personnel who live here & get a discount on their apt, are basically on call 24/7 and expected to do any & everything needing to be done. Currently the company tried to save money by not calling a plumber when a main water line broke, and 16 apts were out of water for at least 2 days, and they let thousands of water flow out for 2.5 days before anyone even looked at the leak!! They DO NOT have enough personnel, and the ones they have can be slack - wonder why'' True also, the recent previous manager, who left after several incidences, spent a good bit of time (as anonymous said, too) in the office with young men (whose motorcycles / jeeps / etc. were parked outside the office for hours and days on end (when she was on property, which was not as often as should be). No property functions were done except a recent pool party for the promised ways for neighbors to meet neighbors in the "homey" setting. Most importantly, the TWO maintenance people (who have changed & come & gone often during my time here) cover about 250 apartments - I?m sorry, this is NOT enough. Now I?ve heard that they have only ONE maintenance person on hand although I haven?t yet heard that assuredly interesting story(!), and other properties constantly pass personnel around to various properties. The reason I know so much is that I meet my neighbors, talk at the pool and mailbox, ask questions, & know residents at other Mid-America properties - see how much I found out'' People are very willing to talk when unhappy. Also, when people move in, before you know it, they have extra "roommates" whose credit has not been checked and whose names are not on the lease, and no one checks this out. Very unfair to those who must pass with good credit ratings to live here. More can be sai, but I leave with one last thing. Many residents have HUGE dogs, many of the breeds that most are afraid of, and they do not enforce leash or pet size rules. And the wild cat problem at the dumpster is atrocious and at a dangerous level, and rarely dealt with. Many things happened in the past few years with other managers & personnel, I'm just mentioning the most recent things. I?d not recommend this place. It could be a nice, quiet place to live, and at 1st glance appears to be, but renter beware! Perhaps with the right personnel it may be, but I'm planning to look for something better since I don't choose to wait and see!
