Ridiculous New Owners

The old owners of the complex were great. They valued their tenants and treated them with respect. All the new owners want is money, money, money. They decided to renovate the apartments, which is a great idea, but the way they went about it is crazy. First, they tell everyone that you have two options you can stay in your current apartment for the next year with a higher rent then at the end of the year move into a newly renovated apartment at an even higher rent or leave the premises. The big thing was that you are not allowed to stay in your old apartment. I understand if the management wants to update all the apartments but they were completely unwilling to work with the residents. All they want is more and more money. It did not matter how long you lived in the complex either. Some tenants lived there for anywhere from 5 to 30 years. The management kept encouraging the old tenants to leave so they could get the new yuppie tenants in. Low and behold, the long-term tenants moved out and guess what now the complex ran out of money to finish the renovations. What is even crazier is that when renovating the apartments the workers covered over the cable lines and now the new tenants cannot get cable because the cable company is not allowed to cut into the walls. Nice huh! In addition, you are not allowed to get a satellite dish. Good job! Way to work with the tenants.
