I'm motivated to write a review after reading a separate review where the writer noted that those with complaints are more likely to write while the satisfied residents tend to remain silent. Well, I am a satisfied client and I hope my review helps.

First of all, the community is gorgeous. This is not unique characteristic in Summerville, but I really enjoyed the aesthetics of the community. The fountains on the pool are a nice touch. I found the area to be secluded and VERY quiet. I lived on the third floor of the 1000 building, and hardly ever noticed the noise of traffic or other residents. Some of the motivators for me was the generous counter space in the kitchen, the den, the spaciousness of the unit, the wide bath tub and the high bathroom counter sinks, the ceramic tile, and the contemporary decor. Parking was never an issue, even after I purchased a motorcycle. I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. I really liked that the community was within walking distance to a Publix as well as the cheapest first-run theater in the Charleston area. It is also relatively close to the Northwoods Mall, Best Buy, and Barnes & Noble. I miss the apartment greatly and would love to move back one day.

There were one small issue that should not be overlooked. I lived there for one year, and I did not have a problem with pests until the last two months when I started to notice Palmetto bugs. At the same time I noticed that I wasn't getting the usual monthly pest control notices on my counter and realized that the community had switched to a new pest control company and a new schedule. I don't know if this problem has panned out yet, since it was a problem only as I was leaving, but I hope it has. With this one exception, I highly recommend this community to anyone moving to the area.
