I lived in this apartment complex from 2006 to 2007. It was the first place I lived in after moving to South Carolina for my job. Everything seemed fine for a little while and quickly went downhill. I had four problems with internal flooding at the apartment for several reasons. The first time the pipes in the common wall between apartments burst open. This happened Sunday morning, and as I was up to report the issue, the on-site maintenance man resolved the problem quickly with little damage to the apartments. The second time the dishwasher pipe either backed up or sprung a leak causing some damage to the underside of the cabinets, which happened about six months after the first water leak. Six months after that another neighbor's internal pipe burst overnight, nearly ruining everything in four apartments. Finally, a few days after that, my hot water tank sprung a leak, probably from all the stress of the earlier flood. Fortunately, I was let out of my lease and got my deposit back. When I requested new carpet, it was not granted although I was concerned about mold issues. I had several sinus infections starting shortly after the second water incident happened. Ironically enough, the infections went away after I moved. I also asked for the walls to be inspected for any more faulty pipes, which was granted but was too little too late. Hopefully they inspected all apartments for this fault based on the troubles I experienced.
