the apartments are full of mold, bugs and noisy noisy neighbors! we have lived here for over six months and have had the exterminator come out every month becuase of an infestation of silver fish and roaches.

everything is constantly getting moldy becuase the apartments are not sealed up well. the apartments flood when it rains and they refuse to do anything about it. they are in general very poorly constucted and comming apart.

we have had problems with a noisy neighbor above us, so we tried to resolve it by talking with them personally but were met with hostillity. so from then on we called the police , due to the hours of night they would party with friends smoking marijuana and yelling obsenities and racial slurs into the parking lot.

the police told us the best way to handle this situation was to go to the apartments and inform them of what was happening and they could see how many times we have had no other choice except to call the law and they could take matters into there own hands.

so thats exactly what we did. we informed them of the situation and we were met with a very abrasive attitude. we asked a certian employee what could be done about the the noisy neighbors. she told us very quick and very rudely "were not going to deal with this, its your problem" "either get used to it, or one of you can move." we then informed her that things had come to the point that we had already turned in our early termination. she then told us "good! your leaving then problem solved...now please go!"

we had to go to the office agian about them becuase the neighbors above us were now sanding auto body peices on there porch and getting fiber glass all over our porch, so when we went up to the office agian my wife was yelled at by the same employee and told to leave as if she was a criminal. the employee continued to belittle my wife infront of other people until she left, then after my wife came back to our apartment the office employee then sent two male maint. workers to our door. my wife was very offended and felt very intimidated after having been treated that way in public and then having two large men sent to our door afterwards......sent there for what' intimidation' i dont know but i do know that it is a very unproffesional staff and the property is not worth the money.

its one mile from a disgusting land fill in north charleston, the land floods, the apartments flood, theyre covered in mold and infested with bugs. the employees have been rude and very unhelpful. i would not recomend it to anyone.

I also live in the Reserve and have not had any experiences like this. Whenever I visit the office, the staff have been friendly and willing to help me. In fact, I chose this place a year ago because of the service I got then and I've continued to get it. There is no mold in my apartment (your pictures show extensive mold and make me wonder if perhaps you had something there to help cause it) and I don't have roach problems. My porch does get wet when it rains, but that's to be expected, especially since I'm on the first floor, and it's not "flooded". The storage closet attached to the porch stays dry. My upstairs neighbors are generally okay, aside from some music every now and then. Overall, I enjoy this place (aside from their newer speed bumps) and it's a major step up from another Summerville apartment community I lived in and some I've visited. Yes, sometimes the trash compactor gets backed up and bags are left outside it. Sometimes kids are running around playing. Sometimes I can't park right in the front row by my apartment building and have to walk a tad bit further, but those are things that are likely to be found anywhere. I'm getting ready to renew my lease for another year.

I just moved here in May and I have to say that I love it! I haven't had any problems with mold and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I think it goes a long way in saying that some of the staff live on site. At my previous apartment complex, the staff barely wanted to work there. I also don't have roach problem, a spider problem maybe, and the frogs that continuously hop by my door, oh and those loud ducks:o) But other than that everything is good!

I have lived here for almost three years. Rent is great for the square footage and overall comfort. The main problem are the parents from the surrounding neighborhood who don't control their kids. The latest vandalism (things taken, cars abused, etc.) has mainly been caused by young people who do not live here. Cops just say keep calling them, but little happens because there is poor communication between the cops and the office. I have talked to the office, overall they are friendly and easy to work with, but when it comes to harder issues, they seem like they generally care. Most of the previous tenants who have lived near my apartment, have been peaceful and good neighbors. A handful of the rooms seem to rotate with tenants frequently, but I notice eviction notices posted by their doors. Not too long after that they move or are evicted. Any community you live in requires people to get to know your neighbors and comprise on things that bother each other, just like a relationship. When tress-passers and outsiders abuse our community, the entire community should pull together and make it known we our tired of putting up with it, what can we do? As one group, more will happen. Sure we have a resident "officer" who kicks out people at the pool every night, but he can only do so much. So if you are concerned and bothered by issues with the complex you live in, get to know your neighbor, don't take everything too personally, think rationally, and keep at resolving the issue than just ignoring it. Take pictures, keep calling the police, and be persistent with the office. There are other neighborhoods and areas that could be worse, but your neighborhood does not have to be the same way.
