My Major Complaints

I have resided at Somerset Apartments for almost seven years. I have had so many new neighbors over the years that it is difficult to remember who lives in my building.

My major complaints are the following:

First, the management here changes so often that it is hard to learn who the people
are in the office.

Second, although the grounds are well cared for, the interior foyer and halls of the buildings are not cleaned on a regular basis. Unfortunately, people who live here are not the highest quality people, and in my building they leave trash all over the place.

Third, the office will not accept cash or personal checks for rent. One has to get a
cashier's check or a money order in order to pay the rent each month. This is totally ridiculous. My major suggestion to the management is that they provide an
online means to pay for rent (or at least take your personal check) so that one does not have to drive to a bank or store to pay for a money order.

If I could afford to move to a better location, I certainly would.

A personal check is accepted in the office. I hate that you are not aware of that. The only time a Money order is a must is if a NSF has been received from the resident then the checks can no longer be accepted or if it is for late rent it must be in a money order. I do not know if you still are at Somerset or not but just for your reference.

I agree, checks are always accepted unless you are constantly bouncing them which seems to be the norm down south.

When I was at Somerset from 09/2006 - 09/2007 they did not accept checks in the office aside from my initial deposits. I had to get money orders too and was told that when I signed my lease for each 6 month term. So when this review was posted, it was true. Glad you changed that after I moved out.
