Somerset apartments are going down. What they need to do is rebuild the whole place. Its drugs, murder and anything else you can think of. They even have Summerville cops that live there and they are always drunk at the pool ( when its open). They dont fix ANYTHING but have the nerve to knock on your door when you dont pay your rent because EVERYTHING is broken in your apartment. My electric bill was 300.00 or better a month because the controls were old as me (really). Its really sad because Somerset could really be a great place to live if they would fix them up and get rid of all the trash that live there. RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!!

I work at Somerset and I hate that this comments are truely how people feel. I do agree with alot of them but Somerset has come a very long way since these comments. A lot of the problem is because of the type of people that live here it seems. I think that if more people showed they cared and truely helped get to the problem of finding out where these people live that are causing the issue more could be done. Unfortunely we can not be on the property 24/7 and even then it is up to you to be either part of the solution or part of the problem you there is no inbetween. The police are our on ali and if they are not doing their job then Lord help us all! A lot that goes on here can and is happening everywhere!

I disagree with the anonymous post from 4/3/2008. I'm a teacher - an educated, non-scum person - at a semi-local middle school and when my kids found out I used to live at Somerset, they were shocked. These problems are not everywhere. The community I live in now isn't much more expensive and has none of the problems I had there. There's a world of difference just a few miles away. I agree it's people who live there, but it's not even a "type" of people, because poor people can be decent and black people can be decent. There need to be stricter regulations for the community to keep it clean and running smoothly. I would like to add that I had very few negative issues while I was there, aside from my electric bill and that was resolved eventually. Sometimes I couldn't get into the pool on time because the lady opening it was chatting outside it on her cell phone and would tell me to come back. No eviction notices or anything of the sort. I was an on-time rent paying resident who left in good standing and I still say the apartment sucked. No one needs to wake up at 1 a.m. scared to death because of what's going on right outside her window.

Thats what happens when you let bla cks breed, they are always the cause of all the problems here at somerset, they walk in the middle of the road and get mad when you try to drive your car in the road[god forbid] and they are always noisy and drunk.....still think bla cks are wonderful people? UPDATE...THE COPS ARE CALLED ALL THE TIME, THE GROIDS ARE ALWAYS OUT BLASTING THERE MUSIC ON A FRI OR SAT NIGHT UNLESS IT RAINS CAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OF WATER. IVE HAD TO WALK OUTSIDE WITH MY MACHETTE TO GET PEOPLE TO QUIET DOWN AT 1 AM JUST SO MY CHILDREN CAN SLEEP...YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WHO THE PROBLEMS ARE AND INSTEAD OF JUST WORKING A CUSHY 9-5 WHY DONT YOU GUYS HANG OUT WHEN THE PROBLEMS REALLY ACCURE INSTEAD OF THE WE DONT KNOW WE CANT HELP YOU SCENARIO. That why you are anonymous right? If you were a real MAN you would not have use anonymous i dont even live there and you racist low lifes are pissing me off. I live around all white people but that not cause i want to be white i just like the area. You really shoudnt think the way you do. One of these day you may need help from a black person. And thats coming from a person all the way in Portland Oregon. The comments you made says alot about how you where raised and your education. There is good and bad in all colors. If you were so smart you would know that. How do you feel having a educated BLACK MAN as your president. HA HA HA Those days with us being the underdog and YOUR slave is over. Martin Luthur King Jr said we shall rise and we have. I have a highschool diploma and i even graduated from medical school, can you believe that a black person that graduated 2 times. Oh lets not forget i have never lived in the projects and i have never been on welfare. But all black people are problem makers right? I cant believe this the more i think about the more upset i get. Have you thought about the fact that THIS black person may save one of your kids life if something were to happen god forbid. You people need to grow up and realize we are here to stay.
