Westbury Mews is run by the most unreasonable management staff I have ever encountered in a rental community. No one I?ve asked has ever heard of a leasing office that is only open from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday without exception. Guess what?those are my work hours too! I actually work from 9am to 5:30pm since I have to clock out for 30 minutes to take a lunch break! Figure in a 30 minute drive to get there and a 30 minute drive to get back, and I?m actually away from home from 8:30am to 6pm. How is anyone supposed to get anything done here without losing money due to having to take time off at work'



They have a "zero tolerance" late rent policy. I?ve never been late with the rent, had a check bounce, or had any bad mark against me whatsoever. I simply overlook the rent check one time, and face a late charge. They also refused to take the check I left in the drop box. That would be understandable if my checks had ever bounced, but this is not the case. I have to bring it by the office in person during "normal" business hours in the form of a cashiers check or a money order because that?s their policy and they don?t make exceptions for anyone. So not only do I face a 5% late fee, but I now have to lose even more money by taking off work to accommodate my property manager, whose salary I am paying!



One would think that since my lease will soon be up and I have been inquiring about a transfer from a 2-bedroom to a 3-bedroom, they?d be a lot more willing to work with me. Westbury Mews is a lot closer to my daughter?s school, but I?ve decided not to renew my lease at all. Instead, I will go to Farrington Place. The units are bigger, cheaper, in a better location for damn near everything except the school, and it is run by far more reasonable people!
