My husband and I moved in here just a few months ago when we got married. It looked okay and the price wasn't too horrible, so we took it. Since then, we have had a number of problems and the office staff seems to care little to none. I went in to ask for some repairs, they said sure, no problem, it'll get done. I also asked for them to spray for bugs, and they told me they only came on Friday. It was only Monday so I was willing to wait a few days. A week goes by, and nothing gets done, So I try to be patient and wait another week. Still nothing gets done. So I go back down to the office and ask them politely again if I can get some repairs done and have them spray for bugs, again they said sure no problem. I only had 3 repairs that needed to be done. My biggest problem was that they didn't call to let me know they were coming to "fix" these issues. I could have been in the shower for all they knew. Also the power has gone out TWICE in the past 2 months. the first for over 2 hours and the second for just a few minutes. They still haven't taken care of the bug issue either. We sometimes see people outside smoking pot, told office, they did nothing about it. Other people blare music, so loud you can hear it outside the building. Again told office, they did nothing about it. All in all, save yourself some trouble and DO NOT LIVE HERE. Sure the rent isn't so bad, but it definitly isn't worth it. Like they say, "You what you pay for"

Overall I'm reading negative things that are happening to you and you just not effectively dealing with them. Sure, it's an apartment complex and they should be on top of everything, catering to everyone's every need, but sometimes you get crappy office staff. So instead of complaining and sitting around whining, DO something about it!!! I've lived here for almost a year now, and when I need a repair I call them, and within one weeks' time the work order is completed. About the noise, if you're having problems you need to report it to the office, and if they do nothing report it to the police. It's called a noise violation and they will get fined. About the power, that's not Pebble Creek's fault....that's a problem you need to take up with Duke Energy. All these things could be fixed if you just stop complaining about them and DO something about it. Negative things aren't just going to go away, you have to be proactive. And some problems aren't going to go away even if you try to make them, and that's really a fact of life that you need to learn to let go. Look on the bright side: you don't have to pay for what repairs they do come and complete, you don't have to pay for maintenance on the TWO pools that are here, and you're certainly not stuck here for more time than the lease you signed. If you hate it so much, go buy a house; no one's forcing you to live here.

I agree with the poster. Something so small should not take so long to fix. ANd I too would be upset if someone came into my home without giving me a notice. But at least you are not having issused with yuor AC not working or refrigerater being broken or something of bigger importance. BUt if does sound like the maintnaince and managment could be improved.

According to the South Carolina Landlord Tenant Act, when you give the office a maintenance request, that is the only notice required. If you would like a specific call prior to the maintenance personal entering your home, you can specify that in your request, otherwise your request serves as the notice that maintenance will be entering your home.
