Trying to get out as fast as I can!

As soon as I have a new place to live I am out of this place. They paint over leaks in the ceiling and dont replace soggy sheetrock, they just dry it out and paint over it. The dryer vents don't work, rather they spew lint into the walls and ceiling. Some of the staff is friendly but friendly doesn't provide a safe home to live in. ------- the new secretary person exudes attitude. I liked it here at first, but I hate it now. I have never been late with rent and I keep my apartment in good condition, however they still tried to screw me into paying more rent than what my lease said. They just dont have it together at this place, its a ticking time bomb. We have called the fire marshall, due to several problems that need to be taken care of. If you choose to live here make sure you get renters insurance, a fire would not surprise me and its happened before.

Funny how they replaced some outlets & switches but SKIPPED our apartment. I agree with you about this place. We really liked it at first when ------ was the apartment manager, but now they keep switching apartment manager. Funny how they can't keep just one. I also agree about -------, she is really "Nice Nasty" and does it with a smile. I also have two leaked in the apartment and YES THEY DID THE SAME THING WITH PAINTING OVER THE LEAK AND NOT FIXING IT. Our dryer vents are always clogged. When it rain, it comes through the front door. The bathroom toilets are always slow draining. We are moving in March and can't wait. Yes, we are breaking our lease because this apartment complex and the staff is a JOKE. One of my co-worker asked me about this place and I STRONGLY told her to RUN. After five years of this place and their stupid terms, I can't wait until March.

I had to pull the business card but she is not a secretary. She is the assistant community manager. So I would assume that if a door needed caulking and she wanted to keep people happy then she would caulk the door. I also don't mean to bash pepole. I just understand the chain of command. The office staff does paper work and such. They generate a order to have the work done then passes it onto the service staff. Now when it gets to the service manager then its up to him to ensure its all done properly. Now what I will say is from my understand and conversations Tom is the service manager. Now that is sad to say since he is rude and complains the whole time he is in the apartment. I would rather not see him knock on my door when I have a repair. I read people pointing fingers at the office in refernce to repairs and such but in reality its up to the service manager to complete the task. The office people just enter the repair in a system. I just try to give credit when credit is deserved and I think people like ------- going above and beyond her duties are too little appreciated in society. I do wish you all well in your new homes but owning a home is more of a headache then renting. When you own you have to do all the repairs yourself. I owned a home for 17 years and before adopting our child we decided it would be better to rent and not have all of the worries. And so far so good. I do hope one day that they replace the service manager with someone who cares and not complains all of the time. I believe that its him who is not doing the repairs. I see him walking around the property more then actually working on the property. Like he is trying to waste time or something.

The secretary came to caulk your door?? and you think that is a good thing?? Perhaps that should tell you how understaffed the complex is and how overworked all the people including ------- are. You can have your opinion but attacking the people who post there honest opinion about the complex is pretty immature. I am glad you like it here and love your home but we do not and we would like other people to know what they are getting into. Calling the people who live here "off" does not help your cause. By the way I have complained to the office about every single problem and they half fix it. Clearly you do not understand the concern we have expressed. The office was notified on all accounts but the OFFICE did not get the problem addressed properly. And to the previous post (Out of here in March) GOOD FOR YOU! you put up with this place for five years! WOW! That's impressive, I hope your new home is wonderful!

Again I am here to offer my services, free of course, to anyone who wants to go from renter to homeowner. I did it about five years ago and it has been a great experience. I have built equity, received tax refunds and had a place to live. Perfect! I can help you do the same!
