I'm a young 20 something who moved to the Columbia area last summer as the result of a job offer. As a single gal with a single income, I was interested in a budget friendly, SAFE apartment complex. Granby Oaks was it! The complex feels very safe to me, the management has treated me very well, parking is never a problem, the grounds are well kept (this includes the pool in the summer), and any issues I have ever had have always been attended to promptly and resolved quickly and correctly. The community is established, consisting of many residents that have lived there for an extended period of time, but do not let this deter you if you are looking for a nice place to live. New residents are welcome and if anything, established residents proved to me that not only do many feel safe enough there to call it their home for years on end, but that the management must be doing something right if so many people prefer to stay there. Granby Oaks has a quiet, secluded, and friendly atmosphere about it. Sometimes I don't even feel like I'm almost in the heart of the city! If you're a college student/young adult (hey, maybe even older adult') and looking for a more lively community consisting of people closer to your age, I don't know that I would recommend this complex. It's not exactly party central...or even mildly so. Granted, that's what I love about it, but some may not.

I love it and plan to be here a while :)
