I lived at Quail Hollow from June 1st, 2007 to June 2nd, 2008. I have to say that looking back, I wish we would have picked a different place to live. I recently got a bill from them for things that have already been paid for and/or stuff that wasn't our fault. They sent us a bill for a broken screen door (which was broken before we moved in) and management ignored our requests to come fix it. They also billed us for the last month's rent, which was already paid. The plumbing at this place was ridiculous! The first day we moved in, the toilet in the master bedroom ran. Once again, ignored requests to come fix it. The maintenance people wouldn't even knock when doing "check-ups" (which was never clear to me why they exactly did that) and got pissy when you questioned them at the door. The windows and walls are paper thing, so you can hear just about everything that goes on in your building. My bedroom window faced the parking lot and I was awoken constantly by the millions of stray cats fighting in the dumpsters and people yelling at each other. During about the last four or five months of us living there, the faucet in the master bedroom began to leak hot water. I asked management three times to come fix it. Every time I asked why they didn't show up, it would always be a lame excuse. They claimed the didn't have a copy of our key, somebody had written that it had already been done, etc. (I still fail to understand why they just couldn't fix it while one of us was home.) Because they never fixed the leak (and because it was hot water) our power bill was about an extra $100 (at least!) The family that lived below us told me that because maintenance never fixed the leak they had in one of their pipes, they had damages that cost them thousands of dollars. They ended up filing a lawsuit against them and won, forcing Quail Hollow to renovate the apartment. The manager is nasty and snooty and makes people feel like dirt. I was told that after 30 days, if your request for maintenance is ignored, you have the right to file a lawsuit. If you're in this situation, you should seriously consider it! It seems like the only way to get their attention is to threaten a lawsuit. If you're looking for a place to live, steer clear of Quail Hollow! The price is not worth all of the hassle!!!!!
