I lived in Riverbend for 2 and 1/2 years. It is a great place if you are a single college student or even a young professional. Its not the ideal place to raise a family so I stress SINGLE. The complex is very old and although most apartments have been renovated, some things are still old. The management is great and maintainence is 24 hours a day. This was my first apartment while I was in college. I was very busy throughout the day so I basically only slept there at night. Advice - don?t sign a long term lease at first. Give yourself about three months to determine if it is somplace you could stay. Also, the floors and ceilings are very weak if someone lives above you, you can here every step they take. It is very convenient to USC and downtown Columbia - about 7 minutes.
