I'm a female college student and I moved into riverbend with 3 guy friends of mine. We had the managers apartment over the office so we had a lot more privacy, despite that I never felt safe there and neither did the guys. We had maintance problems all the time that took forever to get fixed and the mainatance people were rude most of the time they came to do things. The manager was horrible to deal with, though the other woman in the office was nice. All in all it was just a bad experience. I would like to warn any young girls thinking of moving there it is not safe. I came home one night after work around 11 and walked in on a guy in the hall to our apartment umm performing a lude act on himself. I ran out to my car drove away and called my boyfriend who lived there too and he called the emergency people who were supposed to be on duty. He got the answering machine and left a message and we never heard back from them. I went down to the office myself a couple of days to tell them about it. we just moved to downtown Charlotte our rent is cheaper and the place is amazing and the staff is really nice and helpful so there have got to be better places in columbia as cheap but better than riverbend.
