I have been a resident at Wellington for about 2 years...here we go:
When we moved in, there were "specials" so we saved money on our rent, and received a free garage. We were told to take a 12 month lease "because the specials change, we may not get the same deal in 3 or 6 months, it would depend on what the special was". But after our one year lease was up, we were told that current residents were unable to participate in specials!'
The staff that helped us move in and told us we could participate in specials during a lease renewal...you guessed it! They no longer worked there. Every month you receive a little newsletter and on the back it states the Wellington staff. Take a look at that every month...there is always a change in staff-EVERY MONTH! My brother noticed the same thing when he lived here 2 years prior to me moving in. For such a small amount of employees, whats going on'
There was one time that I received a letter from the office stating that I owed them (a lot of) money for the garage. I had to take them the copies from our lease to show them that we had a free garage! ...That was a mess.
Whether you are dropping off rent, picking up a package, or going to the office to sign something...they treat you like you are bothering them! And...if they are going to charge me $820 a month for living here, they need to keep their shirt below their stomache and dress more professional.
The garage A.K.A a coffin...Is SMALL!
As far as our apartment...the size is good. BUT, everything inside is so outdated! EVERY closet has sliding mirror doors, the dishawsher that is tiny and leaks, cottage cheese ceilings... For paying $820 a month for an APARTMENT, it is NOTHING SPECIAL. Nothing is special in here, everything is basic and cheap!! The faucets, lighting, carpet...all of it.
You want me to tell you something I like' ...The town! We chose to move here because we wanted somewhere quiet and safe. I wouldnt say this apartment is quiet, because I here the neighbors upstairs everyday. Dakota Dunes is not a cheap place to live. But to me it looks very nice and I think it is much safer than Sioux City.
But please do not pay $820 a month for this, when in the end you wont even own a piece of it!
