We were promised that we had an updated apartment, Cara will even take you to the little kitchen area in the clubhouse and tell you that is what all the kitchens look like now. (If the clubhouse is a selling point for you, don't bother. It's only open during office hours so if you work a day job you won't be able to use it.) She will more
08/06/11 by anonymous: My family lived in Oakwood Gardens for only a year and it wasn't the best year. It was hard to get the super to make any repairs and the landlord wasn't helpful. The super always complained that he was busy, but always saw him outside playing with his children. His wife came to our apartment to make most of the repairs. She is nice, but she isn't the super. 02/14/14 by JABuongiorno: I lived at Northbrook Apartments for 6 years. I first lived in a newer one bedroom apartment. It was a very spacious and sunny floor plan. Then I moved to an older 2 bedroom 1 bath unit that was also very spacious and sunny! The only problem with my 2 bedroom is that it would be quite hot in the summer. The AC unit had trouble keeping up and hopefully it's been replaced. I always enjoyed more
03/30/12 by anonymous: I lived in Oak Park for three years and loved my little one bedroom. I was paying $375 for a 12-month lease; the prices have since gone up (I believe the same apartment would be $435 as of this writing), but my rent was never raised even when the price for new tenants went up. The office was always kind, respectful, and responsive. The owner is easily reached (she once personally more
