Keep good records

While the apartment was very spacious and the community was kept neat and clean, the associates working in the leasing office left something to be desired. I recommend keeping all documents that you sign or have anything to do with your lease. If you submit something to the office, don't walk it over. Pay the fees and have it sent certified with signature. The associates in the office tend to misplace things and they never get into your file. If I hadn't kept copies of everything I would have owed them almost $2500 in fees when I moved b/c of my job. So, again, I stress keep copies of everything. When you give your written notice - keep a copy. And mail it to them so you have proof that they received it. One of my neighbors had the same problem but unfortunately, she didn't keep records like I do and ended up having to pay them.
