I LEAVED HERE FROM 2008 - 2009, NO SECURITY AT ALL, HORRIBLE AND TERRIFYING PLACE TO LEAVE. I ONE DAY CAME FROM WORK AND MY DOOR WAS WIDE OPEN, TV, LAPTOP ETC WAS GONE. CALL APARTMENT STUFF AND ALL THEY CAN SAY IS I NEED TO PROVIDE MY OWN SECURITY. WATER BILL IS OUTRAGEOUS FROM $20 - 70 WHEN RESIDENTS STARTED COMPLAINING THEY CHANGE TO WATER BILLING TO ANOTHER COMPANY WHICH REDUCED WATRE BILL TO $60 FOR 2 BED ROOM NO MATER HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVING IN THAT 2 BED ROOM, OPPOSITE IS 6 FAMILIES INCLUDING CHILDREN IN BUT WE ALL PAY $60 ONCE IS TWO BEDROOM. A FEE OF $25.00 TO USE THE FITNESS CENTER WHICH HAS ONLY 2-3 MACHINES IN WORKING THE REMAINING MACHINES ARE BROKEN, MAINTENACE NEED TO BE WATCHED. RUDE STUFF AND ALL KINDS OF FEES BEFORE MORE IN. PLEASE DO THINK TWICE BEFORE MOVING IN OR APPLYING TO RENT.

I will agree with the fact that the maintenance people are rude. I was wearing a work-appropriate dress (beyond knee-length) when my dog wrapped himself around a pole. Bending over to untangle him, the maintenance guy pulled up in his truck and commented on how I distracted him from driving and that I should be more careful. Seriously?! I'm moving out this month and I've never wanted anything more.

This place needs to be shut down. I left when they refused to provide day-to-day electricty to my unit. I would come home from work at 9pm to find the power had been off all day - in 98 degree summer heat. My dog would be close to heat stroke. The maintenance guys wouldn't come out that late and told me to just go out to the outside meter and flip the switch. The meter blew sparks. I asked to locate to another apartment and they refused. I went 104 days with the power going off for no reason. From May - Septmenber sleeping in an upstairs 95 degree apartment. They would check the A/C and say everything was fine. Then they said upstairs units never get cool. (...then why didn't you tell me that before I leased the unit?) Then they said I was blowing fuses by running the toaster oven and the blow dryer at the same time: IDIOTS! I'M AT WORK! THER'S NO ONE HOME USING ANYTHING!! I reported them to the housing authority and tried to get someone to come out and look at the electric meter and cite the complex for not providing power. They refused saying they were too swamped with complaints. My bill increased 250% - going from 30-40 per month to over $250 a month - all this with no power!!! Try dealing with this every single day for 5 months while you are trying to go to your job and work...the aprtment manager refused to take my calls and would close her door when I would go to the office. I finally started faxing letters to the home office in NY and to all the regional managers. They finally put in new A/C unit but that was not the problem...they never addressed the problem of power to the unit so the new A/C never worked. I finally moved out with 2 months left on my lease. They sued for over $2000 and won a judgment when they failed to notify me of the court date. I learned that in TN tenants have no rights. THey only have to place an ad in the local paper re: the court date. So I didn't get my day in court with these crooks because I never knew I was being sued. I found out about the lawsuit when I pulled my FICO a year later. Autumnwood has a crook-lawyer who's sole practice is suing former tenants of apartment complexes. He runs his own collection agency Action Collection - look 'em up. Look at the court website for Davidson County and on the dockets page you will see his name all over the place. What a scam they are running. They actually want people to break their lease: they sue for thousands of dollars and still -re-rent their skanky apartments to unsuspecting people. THeir security officer told me they want to cater to --------- because --------- don't know the laws and won't sue them. If you live there, do not re-sign a lease. Make plans to move. NOW!! They charged me for cleaning outthe fireplace and I never used the fireplace. Take date-stamped photos of your unit after you move and keep them - these people will charge you for everything. Its how they make their money.

I think the lady who posted above, probably just wants to rant because she didn't get her way after breaching a lease, but who knows? I don't really believe anyone would continue to actually live in an apt if these conditions actually existed. Furthermore, if these conditions did exist, it's a shame she couldn't use her time more wisely before the law suit happened. There are remedies for both landlords and tenants under the TN law. She obviously cares more about trying to degrade others rather than educate and uplift herself.
