Lived here 3 years. In the beginning, thought this was a beautiful commmunity and the staff indeed helpful, and caring. However, when my living situation changed, and their administrative changed frequently, I found our families needs were going unmet.
We lived in a two bedrm/two bath apt. Our bldg., has very poor parking, frequently persons have 2 or more cars, but are only allotted one space in front of the bldg., and their is no room for guest parking. There is no place for the children to play, and frequently they play in the street unsupervised, damaging cars, hurting small animals, or being rude to adults.
The maintance men are trying to be helpful, and make repairs when reported to them. However, the phone calls to the office complex are picked up frequently by a service, and the office denies that these messages were received.
The lighting is poor in the complex, frequently women do not feel safe walking at night. Lights on the bldg., frequently burn out/broken and are then not replaced.
We our having problems with security. Frequently, security does not respond, when called, this includes situations of domestic violence, and drug related incidents/theft. The gate in the community has not worked consistently, for more than one month in 3 yrs! People frequently walk thru our complex to the bus stop or the Section 8 Housing to the rear of the complex.
We have had a problem with pest control. Last two years our bldg., has had a problem with ants, spiders and wasps, requiring several months of weekly treatment to rid of this pesty problem. Several residents and guests of our bldg., were stung or bitten, and we received no support from the office. Some of the ant bites required medical treatment for adults and children alike. Their reply was that the residents were not clean, or keeping their apts clean! This was not true!
When issues with neighbors occur, they are not resolved in a timely manner. This includes dealing with neighbors who are dealing drugs out of an apt, dealing with people who are loud, disrespectful and at times violent!
I once chose this property because it appeared to be a safe and a beautiful place to live. The staff were once helpful, and friendly. Now, the property is represented by persons who are negative, make quick uninformed judgements,are critical, and do not apply the same rules for all residents. Frequently, renters rights to service are violated. One should not have to contact an attorney, to have simple requests and accommodations completed. Frequently, the phones are answered by a service, and the manager is not on site, or unavailable, unwilling or indifferent to solve issues. Frequently. incentives are offered to new residents, how ever the same incentives are not extended to residents in good standing. Like everything in life, peoples needs change. One would hope that you live in an atmosphere of support,there would be an opportunity to develop a sense of community, for the young,and old alike. The current administration does not support that type of environment. At this point, in good conscious I can not recommend this property to a friend, family member, or business acquaintance.
