I CAN TELL YOU A LOT ABOUT CAMBRIDGE YOU HAVE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN THE OFFICE THAT DONT GIVE A DAMM THEY WILL SET OUT SIDE AT NIGHT AND GET HIGH AND DRINGING BEER WITH THE FRIENDS. THEY DONT CARE THAT THEY ARE KIDS DOWN THERE THEY DONT CARE IF THE PEOPLE THAT LIVES NEXT TO YOU KEEP YOU UP ALL NIGHT WHILE THEY ARE PARTYING JUST AS LONE THEY CAN DO IT WITH THEM I DONT UNSTANDED WHY THE OWNERS DONT COME IN HERE AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. YOU HAVE BIG DRUGE DEALERS HEAR AT NIGHT DEELING ALL TIME, AND YOU TELL THE OFFICE AND THEY JUST SAY OK. IT IS THE WORST APT. I HAVE EVER LIVE IN.

Nothing that you've said has anything to do with property management. If you have an issue with the people who work in the office that relates to your apartment like things not working or your rent not getting applied to your account, then you need to call the corporate office. Nobody is in the office to "care" about you, just like the people at the bank, grocery store, etc. Their job is to smile and help you and send you on your way. They work regular business hours like you and then they go on about their business afterwards. I work in the apartment industry and I used to HATE when residents see me out pumping gas and wanna stop me to talk about their lease like I got that ---- in the trunk, or complain about somebody they don't want to live next to, like I'm supposed to just throw them out because they said so or beat their ass or something. As far as the drugs, alleged "drug dealing" and late light parties go, call LAW ENFORCEMENT. That's what they are there for. There's going to come a time when people need to start using common sense and stop depending on the people in the office to preform miracles. If you owned a house, you can't expect the mortgage company to control your neighbors.

I agree with the original poster. I've seen one rental agent at the pool blaring music, and smoking, and I mean music blaring, to the point my kids couldn't even hear me talking. Meanwhile, residents like me are trying to teach our children to swim. It's not about the staff not "caring". It's about the staff setting and upholding an image for the community.
I'd also like to add, that it's not ALL of the rental agents, just one in particular that gets high in the open, blares music and smokes at the pool.

To the 2nd poster, as a rental agent you have an image to uphold to the community you rent to. I realize that you don't make alot of money, but believe it or not, you are a rental agent on or off the clock.

I am agree with thruthchic....I think everybody here has a point of view accordingly to the original blog. First dumbass, you should stop criticizing paople for knowing or not how to spell, we are all humans and the bottom line of all this situation is RESPECT...there is a wise saying that states: "The right of the other's respect is the peace" So start watching yourself first and then make a point. As for the second comment I think she might have the experience of being in the leasing business forever but that doesn't mean this girl knows all about Cambridge with makes me believe that she might work there, when you are hired to be a leasing consultant you are hired not only to lease apartments, in fact you are there to help people, follow the Fair Housing Laws, achieve goals to keep your occupancy high, etc, etc...it's not about getting people's rent and yeah I got a comission for this apartment or this other it's about letting the people the pros and the cons...it's about teaching the residents how to a be a resident, give all the information needed at the time of move in, you were just saying people need to learn how to use the common sense and I am agree but just like you you didn't get that job knowledge without any training prior or at least without someone telling what to do...In my opinion if you are having issues in your apartment complex or with residents or other matters, the answer is you, ask for information, ask for solutions because you chose this place to live in at, so change first yourself and respect the others. Speak up to be heard, don't complain, try to give solutions better instead...

I have been in property management for 31 years. The girl who posted that it was not the purpose of the management staff to "care" about the residents should be fired immediately and never allowed to work in this industry again. If the management staff does not care, the community is surely headed in the wrong direction. If someone sees you in "public" and speaks to you and wishes to discuss property matters, it is so simple to tell them (politely) that you would love for them to call you during business hours so you can take the time to write down their concerns so the concerns can be addressed properly. You really need to find another career. My community is rated by our residents at 100% because neither I, nor anyone I will work with could be this rude and we do care and we take the time to "LISTEN". If anyone working under my supervision was ever this rude, they would no longer be working with me.
