Don't move there!

Writing on behalf of daughter who just moved there three weeks ago.
First night--the vehicle was vandalized --$1000 worth of damage and stolen items. No security. One Security guy who owns his own company and patrols when he feels like it but asks no questions. No lights in the parking areas. Very dark. Safety is a concern.
2nd week --vandalized again. Lady sitting in car saw the hoodlums but could not tell anything about them due to the darkness of the area. Was able to get a description of the vehicle.
People running the office could not offer anything off the rent, nor any reimbursement. They offered only getting out of the lease with no penalty. Who can move at this time....All money was tied up into getting into this apartment complex.
Lighting and security is a major concern. It seems the residents are the only ones concerned about it though.
Haven't been there long enough to find out anything else.
