Absolutely not true. While it is not entirely crime free, it is safe nonetheless. I have gone walking at night for seven years and had no problems. We have never been broken into, mistreated by neighbors or anything like that. Outsiders have come in and broken into a few cars, but they do that in Brentwood and Franklin as well. The staff is very responsive; always has been. Prices do go up, but very slowly, well behind the housing market. It has become much more multi-cultural, which I see as a big bonus. Because of your low marks in everything, I suspect you are coming off a bad experience and striking out. I can always park close to my apartment. Maintenance is great. Construction only exists at the office (That is going pretty slowly, but interrupts nothing.). Noise is very often non-existant, sometimes bothersome after hours, usually very acceptable. Grounds are kept well and cleaned daily. Safety is a non-issue. Ofice staff have always been polite.

I have lived at Meadowood for 2 years and would warn anyone before renting to consider everything first. Sure the rent is cheaper and the apartments look nice on the outside, but they are old on the inside and usually require a lot of maintenance. If you are lucky enough to not have any major issues its okay. If you get an apartment like mine, run!!! We've had so many problems that do not get fixed quickly or are not fixed right the first time. They try to get out of fixing anything. We have had water leaks in the dining room and especially in the bathroom. The bathroom has never been fixed right and we have mold collecting on the wall near the shower. This year we could not use out bathroom for about 4 weeks and they still did not fix it right. We also have mold under the linoleum that they refuse to replace. We have carver bees that are living out our patio under the eave, getting everything dirty with dead bugs, wood chips and I don't know what else. We were told there is nothing they can do about it. I can't even use my patio because it gets dirty after a couple of days and I'm afraid I'll get stung by the bees. This is only a small amount of the problems we have had. I guess I should add the leak under the bathroom sink that has been there for 2 years. We have to put a water pitcher under there and empty it every so often. We had someone try to break into out vehicle and recently another mom told me there has been a guy trying to pick up children at the apartments. I do not let my kids out, I'm afraid what will happen to them. There is also usually graffiti on the playground. I have to say that the only thing I like is the indoor pool, but they have had to hire someone to watch the pools because of security problems and she has had diffuculty with some of the residents. If you can afford to live somewhere better, I would.
