This is long, but it is pertinent information.

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I've lived in Meadowood Village for a year, and I am NOT renewing my lease. I'm getting out of here as fast as I can. The apartment is nice and pretty but don't be fooled. We supposedly had new carpet, but a month after moving in old stains (huge, dark stains) started resurfacing. They also told us when we moved in that the laundry rooms, gym, indoor pool, etc., was open until 10PM. However, when my clothes got locked in the laundry room (wet, still in the washer in 90 degree summer heat) I called the "courtesy office" (that's a laugh) who locks up the laundry rooms and he said there was nothing I could do about it. He said the time of laundry room hours had changed, even though I read all the newsletters and we were not notified. I even asked if he could just come back and open it, since he lives on the property, so I could just get my wet clothes and hang them in my apartment, but he refused saying that he wasn't coming back out to open it. I also ended up getting a gym membership because everything in the apartment clubhouse was always broken even after reporting it multiple times. Nothing in the apartment works properly. My toilet just quit flushing twice, our air conditioning unit broke on what was probably the hottest weekend yet this year, our chimney was practically unusable because it must have been so clogged that the smoke would fill our apartment even when it was wide open. There is no lighting in any of the bedrooms and my boyfriend had to install a light in the kitchen because the lighting provided was so poor. Also, if you have a washer/dryer hookup in the apartment, but you don't have a dryer, they won't plug the hole which leads directly outside. We had to plug it as best we could but it still causes our electric bill to be high when heating/cooling the apartment. Another Major problem we had was when something went wrong with our electrical fuses and the main circuit or something needed replaced. It was late in the evening and I had plans I could not miss, but couldn't even get ready because nothing worked. When I called maintenance I was told it could be 3 to 10 hours before he could get the electrical guy out to fix it, and that I HAD to stay home because I had to be there when he came to fix it. This is not in chronological order...the 2 loads of mildewed clothes that they refused to pay for even though they could not show me the letter which stated the change in hours was the last straw.
