my husband and i loved the location and the layouts of the two bedroom apartments. so we called, faxed, and paid the fee to hold an apartment before we moved down from michigan. we were told when we paid the fee that it would hold our first floor, wooded walk out, 2 br and 2 bath apt. we called back a week or so later just to check in and were told that they "still had our apt, as planned!" my husband called a week later, before we rented a truck to move, and was told that the 1st floor apt actually wasnt available... but.... a diff layout was just as good and it would be fine. when he said this was not the case, we didn't want a different layout, the staff actually argued with him over it. then after much pushing from him, the staff agreed to refund our $75 we had paid to hold that specific apt.

we stopped by after we moved down to antioch, about a month later, and into brentridge apartments (which we love, by the way) to get our deposit back, as it STILL hadn't come as promised. we were told that it had been sent. then oops. maybe forgotten. then, "we'll get right on it". a month later, still no check. we filed with the better business bureau, and with a push from the federal government, finally were able to get our money back....

it was mentioned by the staff in all of this that the apartments are under new management.... obviously the new management needs a lesson in proper business, timeliness, ettiquette, and just general manners. swindling money for apartments they never had in the first place!!

They shouldnt have given you all that trouble giving you your deposit back but most apartments can't hold apartments weeks at a time--which your being vague about the actual amount of time you waited to move in.But if theres someone one else that is right there and ready to move in they are gonna move them in. They offered you another place and maybe if you hadnt fussed so much and been picky they would have worked with you. Anyway ...i m just on an apartment search right now ..and reviews like these make me wanna so irritated--because some people are just so whiny when they don't get their way. W/E though--This review doesn't help whatsoever--so Ill disreagard it when judging these apartments. Thanks anyway

You Michiganders are nothing but trouble, complain about every little thing, and drive like you're the only person on the road. Heck, I'll pay you $75 right now to pack up and get your sorry selves back up North where you belong. Good riddance!
