I have lived here for 2 years and have enjoyed my stay. I will be moving soon cause I hope to leave the state but would renew my lease if I stay IF I don't buy a home. The management acts as if they have PhD's in apartment leasing when they barely got their GED to show you around the complex. Over all, I have enjoyed my stay, the apartments are nice and everyone I know who lives there doesn't want to move! I know people who have been in THE VILLAGES for 5 years (wasting money) I mean, where can you get the space, for the price (even though rent seems to inflate drastically with each lease renewal)in the location' 10mins or less from the airport, 2-5 mins to the mall and cool inexpensive restaurants,bars and grocery stores! Plus its quick to hit I-24 to head to the ATL! As for the kids stuff getting stolen, ask for an apartment upstairs tell them to put their toys inside and anything valuable, why the heck are they playing with it outdoors anyway' Your car getting broken into, well, now Tenn. law says you have to have insurance so why worry. Anything valuable in (OR OUT-smile) of your car, "wax on, wax off" and charge it to the insurance company!(I didn't say that) But yeah, my car was hit up but if theives see stuff on your seats, you're good and jacked- you're not being very commonsensical! I mean,what more could you ask for besides the chronic agony of getting to work if you work in the city (Nashville)traffic can be a female dog! But hey, Hickory Hollow is the place to be!...except for Christmas when everyone is shopping, I hate that! However, it is a wonderful area to walk around /exercise and still be in your neighborhood, the children in the area seem well mannered and are just what they are..children! The Villages is home sweet home for me and I would have never changed the experience for anything...for now
