When I signed the lease and got my keys, I walked into my new apartment and was shocked. It looked like the cleaning staff was never there before I moved in. The refrigerator and freezer were disgusting, so was the drawer under the oven. After I griped enough, they finally got someone down there to clean it (a week later) and made it livable, but not beautiful. I was still not satisfied so I griped some more and got $100 off my next months rent. SEVEN MONTHS LATER I GOT A CALL WONDERING WHY MY NOVEMBERS RENT WAS $100 SHORT!!! I explained it all to them and finally they realized that I didn't make it up so everything was fine. Also, I just moved out and dropped off the keys late on a Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, I called them, realizing I had left my pots and pans, and asked them what I could do. They told me that they would have a maintenance man put them in a box and bring them to the office. When I went there a few days later, they told me that noone had been down there and gave me a key. I'll be darned if that apartment wasn't cleaner than it was when we moved in and there were no pots or pans in the cabinets. When I went back down there they had told me that the maintenece man threw them away, and sorry was all they could say. Besides that they were always late with maitenance jobs, and they came in our apartment alot when we asked them not to come unless we were there. Very poor management company is all I have to say...

In our defense I have to say that it's a different staff now than it was when this resident moved in. With better staff comes better contractors. When this resident moved out, he did call about the pots and pans, however while cleaning out the apartment, our maintenance tech had already thrown them away. When keys are turned in, you are giving back possession of your apartment. We understand that everyone is human and sometimes things get missed or left behind. We DID apologize AND refunded him the cost of the items that were thrown away even though we did not have to because possession had been given back to us. To the comment about our Maintenance. We have a great maintenance staff. Work orders are completed within 24-48 hours depending on how many we have at one time. With 408 units, our staff stays pretty busy most of the time. Our staff NEVER enters an apartment without permission from the resident. Unless it is an emergency. If it is something that was not scheduled, you will get a 24 hour notice on your door. We are very sorry that this resident was not happy, however if we KNOW a resident is unhappy with their apartment, we will take action to change that. |
