I have lived here since July. My apartment was burglarized last week, and I found out that evening that it was the second time this particular unit has been broken into in the past three years. The management didn't call to check into the situation and I was forced to go to the office to speak with a manager in person about the incident. Since they refused to relocate me to a new unit (I didn't want to break the lease... just move to a safer area that isn't so vulnerable) I decided to just get the door fixed and move out at the end of my lease. But they refused to repair my front door adequately, which has obviously been damaged by a crow bar, until I contacted Michael Greenberg, Jim Ringel, and Gary Makowsky directly (owners of the property management group Makowsky Ringel and Greenberg). Even then it was a struggle.

After my first request for a new door was denied by the apartment management, I called Makowsky Ringel Greenberg and left multiple voicemails about the problem. I finally asked if I could come in person to speak with someone since no one would return my calls. I was told that if I came to the office, I would be able to sit down with someone, but even going in person was unsuccessful since I was told that the manager was out and the admin was on a project and could not leave her desk. I finally resulted to e-mailing and faxing.

I am appalled by the general attitude of apathy and pure laziness that these people show toward their tenants. I am counting the days until my lease is up. I do not recommend this property or any managed by Makowsky Ringel Greenberg. It is the worst experience I have had thus far as a renter and I can't wait to get out.

Is the apartment which was burglarized on the 1st floor, the 2nd floor, or the 3rd floor?
