my wife and i lived in the landings for 3 years. forget about getting your deposit back, they'll find something to charge you for and then some. we had to pay over $300 for "so-called" repairs to our unit when we moved out. they charged over $200 for carpet repairs. they told us they were scheduled to replace the carpet before we moved out. we asked them to wait until we moved out so we wouldn't be charged for carpet repairs and they said that would be fine. well, it didn't turn out that way. even though the carpet should have been replaced due to regular maintenance they still charge us for repairs. they also told us if we painted any walls they would supply us with the paint to repaint the walls white before we moved out to avoid painting fees. well that was a lie too. we asked for paint to repaint, but they said they don't do that, they only let you use paint for touch up work. we also spent over 6 hours cleaning the stove and kitchen, but they still charged us for stove and kitchen cleaning. they charge you $15 for blinds. if you ask me you should go ahead and bend every piece of the blind because they are going to charge you for it anyway. my suggestion is not to go out of your way to clean very much before you move out. my sister-in-law lived at the landings as well. she was a clean "freak" and they still kept her entire deposit and charged her $89 on top of that. bunch of bull if you ask me. maintenance did a decent job. parking was okay. the location is nice, plenty of restaurants in the area. we never had any problems with theft. just don't expect any of your deposit back. oh yeah, i almost forgot. a friend of ours never received a water bill for whatever reason and they tried to charge her over $700 for backpay for a year of water service. the average water bill was $30/month. you do the math on that one.
