I started living at the Landings earlier this year and have had only small problems, which were resolved immediately. It's my understanding that in 2008 they have done a lot to improve the problems people are complaining about.
The first two real issues I had were certain appliances not working properly and like everyone else, an abundance of spiders. My appliances were fixed immediately and without even lodging a complaint, they came and sprayed for spiders, and I have seen maybe two spiders since then. Other small things: I don't like having only one dumpster, but I'm sure it keeps the animals & odor away. I also don't like having to drive to get my mail. I also wish they would put a functioning television in the fitness center.
The pros:
-It is always really quiet.
-Parking is never a problem.
-Maintenance and management seem to care about us a lot more than reviewers say.
-It's in Brentwood, so safety is not an issue.
-The whole complex is always kept clean.
-The new kitchen appliances are nice.
-The pools are great.
If you can afford it, I'd recommend it. I have friends who live in other complexes in this area and hate it.

I am sure the staff appreciates your positive comments about them..for a change. Its nice to see that not everybody thinks they are dumb and lazy, and that someone realizes all the hard work they put in!

What kind of spiders are we talking about? Not anything poisonous I hope... like brown recluses? I've had a problem with them before and don't look forward to moving somewhere this is an issue...
