i also feel possessed to write a review because of the negative ones i've read on here. my husband and i have lived here for four years now. overall, the apartment itself is quite soundly constructed. we never hear anything from the two neighbors beside us. and we just got new neighbors right beside us with yappy dogs... we can hear the dogs loud and clear when we're outside, but inside the apartment we can't hear a thing. awesome. :-) now the people below us, we can hear a little bit easier, particularly in the bathroom area. seems that the sounds carry through the plumbing. maintenance is great--always friendly, helpful, and prompt, and we've never had to have a problem fixed more than once. the staff is great and knows us by name. :-) we did have one break-in. it was within nine months of moving in. but considering the circumstances, my husband and i have always felt we were targeted by people who followed us from work. we never really felt anyone in the complex did it. in fact, one of our neighbors who has lived here for YEARS (much longer than us) said she'd never heard of a break-in in the complex while she'd been there. and for the last three and a half years, we haven't had a problem. yes, there are kids in the complex that run around playing. but, honestly, what do you expect from kids' this is a family-oriented complex... there's even a day-care on site. i also love its proximity to downtown and the north shore.... i have recommended for friends and family to move into the complex with us, and a few of them have taken us up on the offer. :-)
