I moved into Stone Crest Village Apartments in May of 2008. I chose SCV because the apartment was the nicest looking apartment in the the $500-600 price range. I was offered a rehabbed apartment for $614 a month (the price of a 1 bedroom non rehabbed apartment). Unfortunately I signed a 12 month lease. I moved in and all the kitchen drawers had to be replaced and the kitchen sink had to be repaired because it was leaking and there was a black paint spill in it. The new bathroom sink had a chip in it.
Two weeks after I moved in my car was broken into during the night. Thankfully the only thing of importance I keep in there is my cell phone charger and it wasn't stolen. Just over a month after I moved in someone tried to break into my apartment while I was home! As another review mention the on duty officer was nonexistent on both occasions.
When I first moved in the majority of the complex was college students. Since they moved out over the summer the complex has filled with shifty characters that make me feel uncomfortable being outside my apartment. I never go outside my apartment, especially at night because there are always people hanging out in the parking lots. The lighting in the complex is not adequate and I'm always feel very uncomfortable walking from my car to my apartment when I get back from my night classes.
There is a constant high level of noise. If it's not the interstate by the complex it's dogs barking, occupants yelling, or music blaring. Anyone's conversation in the parking lot can be heard in the apartments.
I am counting the days till my lease is up so that I can move to another apartment complex.

I moved into Stone Crest 2 months before this girl and I don't believe a word of her story. I live on the one bedroom part of the apartments as well and I love living here. I take long walks in the evening with my dog and I never get scared. Just the opposite, I run into nice older couples doing the same thing and everyone is enjoying themselves! This is the most beautiful place after they fixed it up. And I never hear through my walls...ever! I totally was prepared to hear neighbors when I moved in but I NEVER have! I mean, this place was crazy back in the day but now its really nice. And she lives in a rehab apartment! I dont even have one of those! They are so nice and everyone here is so nice...She sounds ungrateful....maybe she is the shifty one.
