I have lived here for 4 months and am now fighting to get out of my lease. I have been miserable since the moment I moved in. I didn't notice how much water damage was in the apartment until after I moved in. I chose it because of the size for a 2bdrm in this area. From the moment I moved in I had backflowing through my sink. Meaning, anytime anyone in the bldg did laundry or ran their dishwasher my sink filled on both sides, very loudly, with smelly, soapy dirty water. That was just the beginning.
The water backflowed so bad that this started flooding through the pipes through my walls in my kitchen and laundry area. It was so bad that there was a three foot wide hole in my kitchen wall from water coming through. The worst part was that instead of fixing the plumbing problem they just sent water extraction people, snaked my sink (after a week of calling in emergency orders every day), and horribly patched my wall. They never fixed the problem. So periodically water would just flood through my ceiling or walls, or even through my breaker box. The sink still backflows. To make matters worse I now have a problem with crickets and fruit flies. The exterminator said that because of all the moisture and water damage it's going to be almost impossible to get rid of them.
Additionally the building was old and the flooring badly needed to be reinforced. The neighbors walking upstairs sounded like a war being waged. Since they were shift workers that all worked different shifts, this was really difficult to adjust to and embarassing with company. This was a horrible experience and high rent for this area to boot!

This resident should have logged back on to say that the new management
did take care of her drain problem, and that she was allowed to vacate her apt. because we were able to re-lease her apt. for her. The picture was a bad place in the sheet rock below her washing machine drainline. That also has been repaired. The previous owners did not have a staff
that was caring or qualified. But, that is not the case now. The new
residents of that apt. have had no problems.
