I moved here for a job transfer last fall. Generally the complex is above average. We have very few dealings with the staff so I can not comment there. I will say that the construction on the apartments is not the greatest. You will most definately hear conversations from people talking outside your apartment. If you are on the ground floor, you will always know if the neighbors above you are home or not. If you have a family with young children above you then consider yourself doomed.

During traditional sleeping hours the complex is very quiet. Repairs are generally done quickly but are done cheeply. The landscaping at the entrance is very nice, but do not let that fool you. Pay very close attention to detail in your move in inspection. Most of the materials used in the apartment are very cheap (carpet, paint). It appears that the management company tries to nickel and dime the ongoing maintenance of the complex.

I would recomend to others considering what else in available in this area. It is relatively safe, the other apratments in the area are very close to an active railroad track and have not heard good about most of them from others I work with. Moving into Memphis proper you will most definately see a crime increase.

However, if you are moving to the Memphis metro for the first time, you may want to rethink that decision!
