I have lived at Dogwood Creek for about 2 years. This place was pretty nice for an apartment community when I moved it. It has since been deteriorating by the month. The grounds are trashy, several areas need paint or general maintenance, there is a lot of mud that sits in the common areas. Just hope it doesn't rain or that the sprinklers are left on as you ll be wiping mud off of your shoes. Trash removal from the 1 and only dumpster is slow and trash piles very high and sometimes has to be stacked outside of the dumpster as it will not hold anymore trash. There are provided dog doo places, but dog owners do not clean up after their pets. They let them go on the grass anywhere they want. Watch your step!!!!

The management staff seems to be trained to say " NO " to any request for service. The Asst. manager Kim seems to be the only true caring professional in the office. She really seems to care about the tenants.

With the economy the way it is, I have noticed that there are more and more " trailer trash " types being allowed to rent. If you've ever lived around trailer trash, you know they tend to be dirty, noisy, and have little brats that have no respect for anyone else s property. Speaking of children....In the summer they are allowed to run all over the complex. They play in the parking lots, use the pool as the babysitter ( without supervision ) and generally behave badly. These types of people can easly be heard through the walls yelling at each other.

The condition of the inside of the apartments is fair at best. The price for rent paid should command a higher degree of maintenance. Oh and don't expect anything to be repaired on the weekends! Maint. staff only works through the week.

My lease will be up at the end of January and I am not happy about having to move, but this place has gone downhill fast and is not worth the rent they charge. You can rent a nicer house cheaper than this place. That s what I did.

Edited 12/24/08 *** The review above mine has no merrit! There is no way a " new path " to the lake was created recently! The wether has been too cold for anyone to work outside, let alone spend the money for any new projects. I'd like to see a picture posted of the " new path ".

The poster also posted" Just moved in ". If they really just moved in, there is no way of know how the trash piles up. Give it a month and they'll see.

Poster also says " It's an apartment". Should we expect the condition of a $1200.00 a month apartment complex to be anything less than expected' Maybe they like to pay $1200 a month for crap, but I don't !

Wait a month or 2 before you write a review.

For those that read these reviews, please keep in mind that anyone from the owners, to the complex staff can also post reviews here under another name. I would take the top and bottom reviews of any complex, toss them out and use the rest to make my choice where I want to live.
