Wow. Where do I start' Perhaps at the beginning. The first thing I noticed upon move-in was that my carpet was nicely gapped from where stains/gunk had been obviously cut out with a knife. I had a lot of fun trying to arrange furniture in a way where it wouldn't be obvious to everyone else who came to visit me. Well worth my $730 in rent. Then I found black widow spider in my bathroom. Several months later there was a highly poisonous brown recluse scurrying across my floor. Upon killing it, maintenance laid down sticky traps. Those worked well for bigger bugs but there were perpetually small brown spiders from the day I moved in to the day I moved out. Heaven forbid I decide to lay a garment of clothing on the floor for more than a day seeing as there would be a nice spider in it soon after. I had numerous problems with the washer/dryer units that I was paying to have furnished in my apartment. Sometimes the office was quick to relay the problem to maintenance, other times they took 3 months. I think I went through 3 different dryers before I finally moved out of this money pit. I remember one time they came to fix my dryer and tracked in muddy footprints from the front entrance all the way to my dryer unit. I enjoyed getting down on my knees after a hard day at work and cleaning that up. The office responded by giving me a free carpet steaming coupon. The gas fireplace smelled like a gas leak the entire time I lived here so if you like having headaches from the smell of gas then allow The Madisons to make your acquaintance. Also if the person below you or beside you happens to be smoker, be prepared to inhale a little second hand smoke every now and then. My biggest quarrel with this place was the property manager. Probably the worst manager of any business I have ever been to. She spoke to me as if I were a child anytime I had a problem so be prepared for that if you sign a lease. She even went to length to cop a major attitude whenever I would try to calmly resolve a problem. The leasing agents, save for one, were always unhelpful and could never give me correct answers on anything. Do yourself a favor and realize this place should only be used as a last resort. be prepared for many headaches if you move here and whatever you do GIVE THEM A 30 DAY NOTICE! I got stuck with an entire month's rent upon my move-out, even though contract expired, they were still nice enough to tack that on for me as a nice going away gift. Thanks for nothing Madisons. Your apartments are way too expensive for what they offer. Your management team is stuck up and childish at times. You are a poor establishment.
