If you are still attracted by the price and the looks of the complex even after reading everything below, RENT THE THIRD FLOOR ONLY! You'll decrease chances of break-ins, the place will be dryer, you'll have high ceilings, and won't have white trash throwing parties upstairs. Choose a building that has three stories, and rent the top flat.

GOD FORBID you carelessly rent close to a pool! The pools turn into drug- and desease-infested breeding orgies during summer nights. The trash with its skanky female counterparts simply jumps over the locked gates and starts behaving like the most abhorable animals. For this exact reason, I strongly advice not to use the pools, let alone allow your kids to use it. Not that I'd recommend moving in at all if you have kids. This place is dangerous for children, period.

Beware of various criminal elements among the tenants who are attracted by the price, the fact that thick vegetation and overall architecture allows for illegal activities to run amuck, and by an opportunity to prey on normal people like you and me who happen to live close. I've seen people looking right out of prison living in large numbers renting a single apartment without the management's knowledge. If you walk at night, pack a handgun or a knife as you may get mugged.

The situation with cars break-ins improved somewhat in 2005, and sometimes we saw a security guard patrolling the premises in a golf cart. The night time, however, is a different story.

The management is comprised of outmost imbeciles who have no regards or respect for the tenants. DO NOT be friendly with them as they will be more prompted to ignore your future requests. And requests you will have as the buildings are old and somewhat shaky. Constant need for many, many repairs and thus an unavoidable need to deal with the management will drain you!

The bottom line is that if you're a young person who still can get around and is still able to defend yourself emotionally or in some cases even physically, and you can state the same about your other half, then the risk MIGHT be worth the price and convenience. If you're not, look elsewhere.

I just know that even if the management reads this by chance, they still won't give a flying one...
