As I peruse the Country Squire website I run across an inspiring passage...
"Let go of responsibility. Throw out your To-Do lists. All of them.
Go back to basics.
We ll handle the rest.
Reconnect with your inner child. Live carefree. Stress-free.
Live Life Made Simple."
Let me translate this heartwarming little ditty for you.
Let go of responsibility, just as our maintenance staff has. Throw out your to-do lists because we will turn off your water all of the time, making it impossible to shower or drink! If it's not turned off, it will have dirt in it. Yes, real brown dirt that will go into your hair as you shower. That is, if your shower works or if it doesn't have a huge hole kicked in it. If there's no water in your toilet..when it returns.. it will smell like poop. Go back to the basics. That is all you will get here at Country Squire. We will renovate your apartment building for months on end starting bright and early at 6AM and never make the repairs for the damage that we caused. Go back to the basics as you feel the draft coming from under your front door. There's at least an inch of space for cold air, water, or even bugs to come in! We'll handle the rest, as long as that includes taking your rent check and pretending not to be aware of the 13 year old boy and girl next door who smoke illegal substances outside, steal items from everyone's cars, and run a fairly successful teenage prostitution ring from their apartment. There are many ways you can reconnect with your inner-child! You could work as a security officer for us and take your golf cart off road. Or park it at the pool while watching the local drunk catcall women and chug 24 oz Natural Light. You could swim in our pool with your nasty socks on and have all your friends jump in with theirs on as well. Then go to every single pool and run people off who ACTUALLY LIVE HERE. Or if that's not fun enough, you could go home and see how many roaches you can count on your kitchen floor! Woohoo... that's good living.
Live care-free and stress-free after you are gunned down by one of the many drug dealing, bass bumping, jaywalking, ghetto-slum that we allow to live here for a price of next to nothing!
I hope you have enjoyed this random act of kindness. For those of you who don't believe me, ask a friend. They have probably lived in the Squire at some point. It's almost like a tragic "right of passage".

Kim K, I want to know where your house is because the review I read is correct. I have seen almost all of these things that they described. Maybe the staff is "Professional, Responsive, and Friendly", but we don't have to live with the staff. We have to live with the aparments, which if you are honest with yourself, have gone down. I can honestly say that I have seen the kids jumping in the pools with clothing and shoes on. It is embarrassing to bring a guest to the pool sometimes!

so if kids are jumping in the pools with clothes on, how is that the staff that is at fault? sounds like parents need to get a babysiter to watch them. do you want the staff babysitting your kids or taking care of the apartments?

I live there now. I have personally met the drunk at the pool. Have you stayed around long enough to watch him throw beer in the faces of his two kids? I can't even take my family to the pool because of the drinking, smoking, and cussing. None of that is allowed, but no one enforces it either. I will be glad when our lease is up. It really is beautiful, and the staff is wonderful. Otherwise, it's awful. I heard 18 rounds of gunshots on Saturday night. Also, I have had the mirrors on my van stolen twice in the past month. Someone tried to break in, and still on one has come to fix my door knob!

Yea, I hate that some of the people that live here don't care about how they live. Curtains torn apart, trash sitting out when the dumpster is 10 feet away, people bassing at 3am in the morning. But those weren't gun shots...we called on it a kids were popping fire works...they did it again on Sunday night....right behind our place. But our livingroom is like a sauna and the a/c is running all the time...whats up with that. Today our water was out for 3hrs and the girl next door says it always happens...urgh..Women, don't ever let your husband pick the place..

The water shut off thing in the town homes is constant. (To the reply above mine - I'm thinking I'm the girl next door) The sad thing is that you can't really find a place that's much better around here.

Wrong! there are better places. Its called drive 5 minutes south and your in Germantown. Its more expensive but it was worth the move for us. If you can't afford G-town there are still better choices in Cordova. I've heard good things about Walnut Hill Apartments right down the street and I have a friend who lives at Cordova Creek and says its Ok.
