POSITIVES
-Great location
-Ample parking
-Quiet, no crime
-Very friendly management (even after you move in)
-Maintenance is incredibly quick (same day!) and courteous
-Big windows, spacious bathrooms and eat-in kitchens in 2- and 3-bedroom units
-Allows pets
-Washer/dryer hookup and available laundry room (and fitness center, both 24 hours)
-Well-kept property
-Very new appliances

NEGATIVES
-Gated, but gate is always broken
-Only one dumpster for entire property that's located far away from many buildings and gets very full fast
-Only one mailbox area for entire property
-No washer and dryer or microwave
-"Car Wash Center" is a carport with a faucet and nothing more
-Limited choices for TV and internet (no Comcast)

Overall, I really like it here. We just renewed and extended our lease from a 6-month to 12-month because we're quite happy here. We're on the bottom floor, and only hear our upstairs neighbors in the kitchen-- minimal noise. Management and maintenance are very friendly and prompt to solve problems. My main complaint is the constantly malfunctioning gates and not being able to get Comcast. MediaWorks, the cable provider for Houston Levee, sucks big time. Their "cable internet" is absolutely horrendous-- we had it for a month before switching to BellSouth DSL.

The equipment in the gym is mediocre, but functioning. Parking is never a problem, and all of the units have lots of storage or closet space. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about Houston Levee! We had a hard time finding an apartment in the area, but are very pleased with this complex.
