I moved into these apartments in August of 2007 because they seemed nice and affordable and were close to work, nice dinning and shopping. It didn't take long to realize though that Lincoln At Wolfchase was not all it was talked up to be. Lets have the good points first, the office staff is friendly and helpful. The area that the apartment is located is pretty nice as well. Our apartment has a nice gas fire place and came with new carpet. The power and gas bill is pretty cheap. Okay now on to the not so good selling points! The pluming in the apartment is always knocking and rattling in the walls. You WILL hear every foot step from the people above you. When the people above you are in the shower you can hear the rush of water running through the pluming loudly in your apartment. There is a lot of traffic through the complex. Areas on the property grounds are trashy, a few empty garages with open doors and trash and other junk in them. The equipment in the gym is broken. The gates have been broken quite a bit lately. Before Christmas there was about four break-ins. I haven't heard of one lately. The kitchens are pretty dated looking. I have a walk in shower that is made of cheap creeky plastic. Speaking of showers, the upstairs shower leaks through the ceiling and drips into mine. Mold is growing on the ceiling and the ceiling is sagging. Its been a week now and I have had NO action on this issue. I don't know maybe I am wrong to think this but I think this would be a priority to fix but maybe not. You decide! The garage door broke but got it repaired in a week. I did receive a discount on my rent for that though. Parking is not an issue for me because I do have a garage, but I don't see to many empty spots sometimes. My apartment was not very clean when we moved in either, lots of lost socks and other clothing and lint behind the washer and dryer when I moved in.
So I guess in closing, I will not be renewing my lease once this one is up. But if this place is on your list, I would try to get a top floor somewhere towards the back of the property. You might be able to stand it then. Just remember the walls are thin and the floor is even thinner, and the pluming is loud!
