I hate to say it, but all the bad is true

If you had asked me a year ago, I would have recommended these apartments to anyone, because the only real problem I had was the tiny gym that is never cleaned despite the fact that people sweat all over the machines. However, after two significant rent increases (over 10% for each renewal), two violent attacks in the complex, children allowed to run amuck (I am waiting for the report of one being hit by a car), the excessively crowded pool, and the decidedly unavailable staff, I would have to admit that these apartments have gone waaaayyyy downhill, to say the least. I hate to say that, because I love the floorplan, the closets, the balconies, etc., but you cannot argue the fact that kids are EVERYWHERE, the loiter in the gym and play on and break the machines, the loiter at the pool, and they run in front of cars. I used to be proud to live here but now I am kind of embarassed to admit it because of its relatively new negative reputation (that it indeed lives up to). I understand that it is an apartment and concessions must be made, but there is no excuse for the condition of disarray in which management has allowed the complex to fall. I am counting the days till June, because, while I will miss my unit itself, I won't miss much else.
