We've lived at GS since 1999. When we moved to Memphis this was the first apartment community we visited and we fell in love with it (location, appearance, office staff, etc.). We have always felt safe and have never had problems with neighbors or poorly supervised children. Our biggest complaint would be when a neighbor sat food and water outside their door for cats; of course this drew all the neighborhood cats. I think people have to realize that at some point its time to "BUY A HOUSE". You just can't do everything and anything you choose in an apartment complex. At any rate I complained to the office staff because the cats had started "pooping" on the door mats, totally unexceptable! And not only that, these people sat a kitty bed outside their door for these cats to sleep. Of course this was very unsightly. The office staff must have addressed it, because they have toned it done. I see a bowl of water or food outside ever now and again, but they empty and remove it from their door now. One hint of advise...if you want pets and you live in an apartment, you CAN'T setup their homes outside. NEWS FLASH, they have to live inside with you or guess what, you need to buy a HOME where you'll have more freedom to do what you want. Other than that incident, we have been very pleased. The grounds are well kept, all the tenants in our cove seem to be very nice. We all keep to ourselves. Response time for repairs is exceptional. No problems with rift-raft or loitering (this is very important). Overall, if you are looking for a safe, quiet, well kept community, Gables Stonebridge is your place!
