Design of community leaves a lot to be desired

Leasing staff is great, nothing in their control could help community except maybe better security and being in the office more -- a lot of times you can't get anyone during business hours. Maintenance is good and reliable. Lived at the Grove/Gables for years but over the last year or so have seen a significant decline. More tenants loitering outside apartments especially late at night and on weekends, fixing cars out on property, lot of kids unwatched in the pools and gym, to the point that responsible tenants have to leave and gym equipment is unusable. Camera at pool, and have seen management run off untended kids (swimming in clothes, no less)but really need one in gym.

As far as the design of the community, couldn't be worse... ONE dumpster at the entrance off Germantown - by the one and two bedrooms no less. Three bedrooms (which would of course have more garbage) over by Trinity are left with a really long way to go to get to the dumpster. REALLY need one on that end, if not two or three more scattered out over the site. It wasn't as bad when I lived over by the Germantown entrance, now it's pretty bad. "New" carpet is often older carpet cleaned and sprayed with something to make it look new from all appearances and this wears off the first month or so after moving in. Cable hookups in really bad places (by the fireplace in the corner), you'll need a long cable if you have a newer tv. All in all, the community is okay. One of the only places that do background checks (if they're still doing that), and leasing office is friendly and accommodating (if they are in). If you'd asked if I'd recommend them two years ago, I'd have said yes, with some reservations depending on how far you live away from dumpster and how much furniture you have. Now, I'm not sure I'd recommend the place. Which is a shame. Really just needs some investment from the Leasing Company.
