The trash here does get bad, but really only on the weekends, since they dont pick up trash on saturday or sunday. Their maintanance is usually there within minutes or hours of your call. SOME of the staff including the MANAGER are horrid, but some are good, Emma, the "leasing manager" is wonderful though, and is what I think keeps this place with some decent people in it. The manager totally witched us out once and was disgracefully rude. I wont speak to her again. Depending on who you work with, some are good, some terrible.
It is noisy and loud, and I doubt that the background checks are more than a criminal record check. Its close enough to town that it is going to be busy and have a lot of traffic and noisy people. IF you hate NOISE though, try getting a Lake view, or living further from the gates, as there is less traffic and noise away from the main entrances and driving areas. We really enjoy the construction which is impeccable in our apartment (phase 3), and the jogging and walking trail. If you have a dog, they have a great dog run area where you can take the dog's leash off. This is the most beautiful complex by far. The gates really are a joke, and they get broken and vandalized regularly. I think they need to start putting cameras by them, and have hang tags for visitors or something. Something definitely needs to be done. We moved here for the security of a Luxury apartment, and my wife gets nervous about suspicious people parked in the parking lot watching people. We have a bunch of party animals in the buildings nearby, and can hear noises through the walls, but get real, it's an APARTMENT not a house on a ranch in the country. Youre going to hear your neighbors, youre going to smell their smoke, and probably deal with hearing some cursing or moaning from upstairs. Like always, with any apartment, this can be lessened by living on the top floor. Be smart, choose a good unit, and you wont be dissapointed. (the jaccuzi tubs are to die for.... when I buy a house, I'm definitely putting one in.)
