All the Complaints I read Here are Genuine

Everything I read here complaining about this complex is genuine.

Firstly parking is not great. They really need to have guest parking so the residents who pay big rent here can park. People park outside of designated car spots all the time and block access. I have complained about this and the management are very lax to do anything so I have left notes on the cars myself.

The 'security' gates are never closed. I don't blame this as much on management as I do on the idiots who drive in and out of the gates and who seem incapable of waiting 1 minute while the barriers open or reopen and so drive through them and break them. I suppose there are only so many times that the management can fix the barriers. It is too easy to tailgate cars in. I now don't allow anyone to tailgate me in and question them before I allow them to follow me in (call me paranoid but my husband is away at least 2 nights a week and I am home by myself and I would rather be seen as a bit irrational then be violated in my own home).

The pool is a joke. Last year it was just a big drunken frat party and if you got an inch of space in the pool you were lucky. It was full of beer cans and drunken college kids. If I had children it is not a place I would want to take them. Apparently it has improved this year and they have put in a security guard to stop non-residents using the pool (which was a big problem) and have banned alcohol. I would not know as my husband and I gave up going and now go to a friend?s pool in mid-town about a 20 min drive away. Yes we would rather drive 20 mins they go to the complex pool. Each resident is allowed to bring in non-resident guests which I think is nice but why should a non-resident get some pool time when I pay $889 a month and get none''

Noise was more a problem last year. I called the police a number of times to get them to get rid of people who think that just because it is 3am in the morning then they can yell at the top of their voices in the pool area. When I complained to management about calling the police they were not happy and told me I should have called their 24 hour emergency line. Yeah right. You call this number and get to 'leave a message' and then nothing is done. I want action at 3am in the morning when I have to work the next morning so I called the police. There hasn't been as much of a problem this year with noise.

Lastly (I could go on and on). They seem intent on raising your rent at every lease renewal even though we have always paid on time and in full. There is no incentive or reward for being a good tenant. We have also just had a fight with them about our rent. We were accused us of underpaying our rent by $10 this month and were threatened with legal action!!! When my husband went to complain and to show them the lease which they and we had signed to say that no we had not underpaid they still called us and demanded the rent they said we owed!! It has just now been sorted out but not without many hassles in the process!!

Garbage is a problem but only really as one other review said on the weekend when it is not collected. People are also pigs and don?t wrap up their garbage correctly and leave it strewn everywhere!!

The apartments are nice and the grounds lovely but the management needs to improve!!
