The Reserve at Dexter Lake

Nothing to write home about.

The Reserve is a nice complex. The 17 acre lake is very nice and clean. The grounds and the buildings are kept up. And I haven't been bothered by or tenants or management since I moved in.
But there is a gated community. The gate is only an inconvenience for the residence. And if you are used to your friends coming to you apartment all the time, you can forget about now. But that may be a good thing.
And of course, there are the speed mountains, NOT speed bumps. If you drive one of those Fast and Furious cars, forget about it. Look somewhere else.
The noise is not that bad. I have never complained nor have I ever gotten any complaints. I can hear my upstairs neighbors walking around... It kinda sounds like a herd of elephants sometimes. But only if it is completely quiet in my apartment. If you have the stereo or TV on you usually don't hear it. The noise level is pretty typical for an apartment. If you want silence I suggest you buy a house.
And although the Reserve is in Cordova, you will be living in the City of Memphis... So you will have to get your car inspected. This can be a pain sometimes for people who aren't used to it. And they don't bother telling you that when you move in.
All in all, it's an ALRIGHT place to live. But definitely not the cheapest place in town. It's nice but nothing to write home about.
