I had lived at the Reserve for more then 4 years. I lived with a roommate in a 2 bedroom and then by myself in a one bedroom. I am in my 20 s. The location is great-you are near everything that you would ever need. The maintenance crew is wonderful they are honest and are willing to help out a neighbor in need. The grounds are very well kept but you have to watch out for dog and duck poop it is everywhere. The gates were often broken and people would just get out of their cars and would push them open if they could not get in by following a car. Also the cameras on them did not work half of the time I only found this out when I came home one day to find my apt had been broken into during broad daylight and my door had been taken off the hinges. The office staff is supposed to notify people of crimes-none of my neighbors knew about it. I have also had 2 neighbors that have been broken into and one whose car was. The crime in that area is getting awful. There is plenty of parking but so many people have overnight guests that do not live there-if you work late you will not be able to park in front of your building and all of the lots are not light up too well. That is another safety issue. We have also had our mailboxes broken into the office did not even know about until I called about it after I got a letter from the post office. The office staff changes a lot but since the fall until when I moved in the spring it stayed the same. Heather was very nice and knew what was going on. But there were often times when the phone would ring and no one would answer it and packages would come up missing. I had also complained about mold that was growing in my ceiling. They came out and plastered over it 3x. Then one morning the ceiling feel in the kitchen. They came and fixed that same day. There is no question that there was mold in that apt. The ceilings were fixed and new flooring was put in but the apt still had a smell. They did not spray for bugs too often and I had a neighbor who always left garbage outside thus some love cockroaches were around. I could hear everything my neighbors did and I had an elephant upstairs that would walk around aEven if I would not have lost my job I would have moved out of there as soon as my lease was up. I always signed a year lease I paid $665 a month for a small one bedroom my two neighbors where paying over $100 more a month. My neighbors were paying a lot more and the complex was jacking up the rates so they could get the people whose apts had not been redone to leave. Now I understand that I signed a lease but I was one of the victims of the economy so when I had to move I had to pay out 60 days worth of rent and a break fee of over $1900. I did get a little break and my deposits back but I still had to pay a lot of $ for someone that did not have a job. Plus my apt was rented out in less then 3 weeks for more then $175 more then I paid a month. I would not recommend this complex--there are a lot nicer and new ones in the area for less rent.
