Never, ever rent here!

If only one thing went wrong while living here, or even if the staff/maintenance tried to work with me, I would not be writing this right now. However, after repeated incidences, I feel that it is my duty to do so. My lease was up a few weeks ago, after I had already moved out, and stated that I would be doing so for at least the past 3 months, but now I am stuck paying rent for 2 more months. I apparently neglected to put it in writing. Okay, so that's my fault. Since I am a student, the staff said they would work with me on the rent. What did this mean' Apparently it meant slapping on late fees when I could not afford to pay in full but the first of June, even though I am paying for 2 apartments at once while in school full time and waiting on loan money! My mother also has her name on the lease since I am not employed full-time, so she called the office to file a complaint. And the staff LAUGHED AT HER. Please, laugh at me, but do not laugh at a mother sticking up for her daughter. No one deserves to be treated like that.

I know that I should have put it in writing, but I tend to believe people when they are "understanding" and say they will work with me. In reality, the place actually owes ME money. My AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK for 2 YEARS!!!!! The first year they came and "worked" on it a few times, which resulted in ME LOSING $1500 WORTH OF my personal property MYSTERIOUSLY. When I questioned this, the management commented that they "didn't know my friends" and it could have been any of them!!! What service! Every time I mentioned my air not working after this (it was up to 90 degrees consistently in my apt during the summer), the staff would remark, "it's hot in the summer, so your apartment is going to be hot. Sorry". What'' What the heck do I have an air conditioner for anyway' To pay $200 in electric bills each month to keep it at 90 degrees even with a big stand fan on' It was the tone in their voices that really got me.

I could keep going on and on about my first ant-infested apartment there, the trash in the lake, my apartment building catching on fire at one point with no compensation, but I shall stop here. This should be enough to steer clear of Trinity Lakes.
