When we moved in, we knew there would be a tradeoff because of all the square ftg we were getting. Didn't think it would be this bad, though. Unlike others, we haven't had that much trouble with noise. However, we've heard many reports of crime and car vandalism. We have killed over 1000 spiders, (yes, we've been counting! it's like a twisted game now!), and god knows how many centipedes, ants, waterbugs, and other unidentifiable insects. Our apartment lies at a low area so our back deck has been unihabitable since day 1 (and never fixed i might add) due to the constant flooding. We've also noticed a handful of snakes, and a few dozen snake holes (i guess this is why we've never had a mouse problem!). It takes an average of 3 maintenence visits to correct any one problem, and it's like pulling teeth to get them out in the first place. Our utility bills have been extremely high due to the drafty construction; roughly 40% more than the last apartment we were in. The only good thing i can say about this place is this: Living here has made the prospect of moving twice as appealling.
